The thrill, of course, was when the booming voice announced, "and the winner is — Rosie's Daughers." Every author's dream.
The book, published by Iaso Books and written with co-author Kendra Bonnett, was selected from 3,175 entries to receive a bronze medal in the Women's Issues category.
Matilda also said she and Kendra have put together two free eBooks aimed at writers or those who would like to write. The first is titled Top 10 Reasons to Write Your Memoir, which includes 10 writing prompts.
The second eBook is Using the Internet to Write Your Way to More Book Sales. The authors would like readers' and writers' feedback, which they plan to incorporate before offering the book for sale.
Both books are available via Matilda and Kendra's website Womens' Memoirs.
